Job Description

Tara Performing Arts High School, a fully accredited stand-alone Waldorf High School in Boulder, Colorado is seeking a new administrator. The ideal candidate is familiar with Waldorf education and dedicated to supporting a vibrant, immersive education for high school students. 

The Administrator at Tara supports the faculty as well as the administrative staff (business, enrollment, development, registrar, and front office).

Requirements

  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills for regular internal communications and outward facing communications to faculty, staff, parents, students, and community members. 
  • Basic office technology and software systems competency. 
  • Strong organizational and scheduling capacities.
  • Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills, combined with a commitment to compassionate and honest communication.
  • The willingness to understand and support the vision of Tara in which the celebration of the festivals is an important part of our curriculum and is guided by the work of Rudolf Steiner. Our calendar is based on these festival celebrations and we take the time to create them through music, poetry, drama and art.
  • The willingness to understand and support the way the Tara schedule is arranged to give time and focus to the performing arts and travel.

Responsibilities

  • Scheduling, calendar and space use coordination.
  • Regular community communications and parent interfacing.
  • New employee onboarding and orientation.
  • Maintenance of multiple handbooks.
  • Editing regular student reports.
  • Guiding curriculum alignment.
  • Leading some student activities.
  • Overseeing campus maintenance.

Compensation & Benefits:

The starting salary for this position is $57,000 annually. Our comprehensive benefits package includes health insurance, generous paid time off, and tuition remission after one year of employment.
