Legal Assistant Floater

Location: Uniondale, NY (Hybrid Schedule)

NESCO Resource is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant Floater to join a prestigious law firm based in Uniondale, NY. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled legal professional with expertise in Litigation, Corporate, and Trust & Estate practices to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist attorneys with client communications and prepare, format, and revise legal documents.
• Perform straight typing, proofreading, and ensure document accuracy.
• Utilize firm macros and assist with pleading preparation.
• Convert documents from PDF to Word and manage Winscribe transcriptions.
• Leverage Kofax PDF functions for document management.
• Scan, email, and electronically file court documents using NYSCEF and CM/ECF platforms.
• Enter attorney time using iTimekeep and submit expense/reimbursement reports via Chrome River.
• Schedule Zoom meetings and conferences as needed.
• Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payment.
• Collaborate effectively with legal staff, peers, and administrators.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Familiarity with legal document management platforms and e-filing procedures.
• Detail-oriented with excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Work Schedule:

• Hours: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
• Hybrid: 3 days in-office, 2 days remote.

Compensation and Benefits:

This full-time position offers a competitive annual salary range of $55,000 to $75,000 , along with a comprehensive benefits package, including:
