Job Description

Bemana is searching for a Manual/CNC Machinist to join a growing industrial distributor and service center, speaclizing in electric motors, VFDs, pumps, and controls in Buda, TX. This role focuses setting up, adjusting, troubleshooting, and operating a variety of manual machine tools including lathes and mills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Recondition bearing fits, machine new shafts from bar stock, cut threads, and repair/reproduce rotating equipment parts.
• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and engineering drawings.
• Select and install appropriate tools and machine attachments.
• Measure and inspect workpieces using precision instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Adjust machine settings (feeds, speeds, depths) for optimal part quality.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.

Preferred Skills:

• Manual Machining: 5+ years (required)
• Experience with CNC machining or programming (preferred but not required)
• Familiarity with motor components, bearing fits, and lifting equipment (forklifts, hoists, cranes)
• Welding, torch cutting, and brazing skills a plus
• Strong communication skills and adaptability to changing priorities

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening
