Location: Los Angeles, CaliforniaJob Type: ContractCompensation Range: $70 - 80 per hourWe’re seeking a Sr. Art Director to join a top retail client on a long-term contract. You'll collaborate with a skilled team of digital designers to craft seamless e-commerce experiences. Ideal candidates bring bold creativity, a user-first mindset, and a passion for pushing design boundaries.Responsibilities:
Assist Creative Director with creative direction, campaign concepting and development.
Manage team of 5 designers -mentor, share and supervise digital design expertise while ensuring compliance with brand standards and timeline requirements.
Execute creative and marketing initiatives while championing unique character of specific customer/merchandise focus area.
Translate strategic and conceptual direction in working creative assets to be leveraged across different channels.
Will need to oversee multiple design projects at one time: creative internal timelines, overseeing design direction, ensuring all deadlines are met, troubleshooting any issues that may arise during duration of the project and act as quality control by reviewing and editing their team's final products before distribution of any materials.
Explore trends and competitive landscape and incorporate appropriate use of color, type, tone and editorial style in digital design standards.
Develop subject matter expertise and champion unique character of their specific customer/merchandise focus areas.
Participate in productive brainstorming sessions that result in concrete ideas for execution.
Design and deliver strategic creative initiatives, targeting business objective(s) while ensuring compliance with brand standards and timeline requirements.
Assist in reviews, approvals and communications to design and production teams regarding versions and extensions of strategic concepts to ensure projects are delivered with brand compliance.
Work closely with UI design, IT development, Product and Project teams to ensure flawless integration with back-end technology and a great user experience.
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Fine Arts degree required with emphasis on interactive design, graphic design or communications.
7+ years of interactive design experience in developing digital designs, concepts and templates.
3+ years of management experience necessary.
Agency or retail experience.
