The Cordish Companies, a fourth-generation family-owned business and global leader in real estate and entertainment development, is seeking an accomplished real estate attorney to serve as Deputy General Counsel on its dynamic in-house legal team.

This is an exciting opportunity to help shape transformative, high-profile projects—ranging from sports-anchored developments and mixed-use entertainment districts to public-private partnerships and complex joint ventures. You’ll provide strategic legal guidance on a wide range of real estate and business transactions, oversee internal and external legal teams, and serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead legal negotiations for joint ventures, ground leases, development agreements, and financings
• Provide expert legal counsel on real estate development, operations, and corporate matters
• Supervise and mentor two attorneys
• Coordinate litigation strategy and manage outside counsel as needed
• Support executive decision-making with clear, business-minded legal advice

Profile Sought:

• 8+ years of law firm and/or in-house experience handling complex real estate and business transactions.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
• Experience advising executive leadership and managing internal legal teams.
• Admitted to practice law in Maryland.
