Parish Communications
· Serve as the brand steward for St. Anthony on the Lake, ensuring that all outgoing communication has a consistent voice and demonstrates judicious use of our communication channels;
· Coordinate weekly and special Masses Livestream volunteers, training and set up.
· Develop and refine parish-wide “core” messages to ensure organizational consistency;
· Collaborate with parish leaders to develop, implement, and evaluate a yearly master communications plan to guide large-scale parish communications;
· Recruit and manage a communications team to support the development and execution of the communications strategy;
· Provide oversight for all key communications channels.
· Oversee Communications Specialist.
· Coordinate documentation of various parish activities in photo/video;
· Lead the development and implementation of communications strategies in collaboration with staff for programming and events.
· Implement staff structure for communications strategies, tools and technology;
· Track and measure the level of engagement produced by various communications over time;
· Lead communications campaign for annual renewal
· Support emergency alerts, crisis communications in collaboration with Director of Administrative services and communications specialist
Ministry of Stewardship
· Serve as staff liaison to Stewardship Committee.
· Coordinate with pastor, staff and committee chairperson for the three annual stewardship commitments of parish ministries; sacrificial giving; and prayer.
· Coordinate and develop stewardship education/formation, including overseeing and updating all stewardship material.
· Work with Director of Administrative Services and Finance Council in coordinating Sacrificial Giving material.
· Oversee follow-up to the stewardship of parish ministry pledges with timely communication to appropriate ministry coordinators and/or committee chair persons.
· Conduct surveys/evaluations for programing and parishioner experience and create strategies to address responses.
· Direct welcoming of new parishioners with registration, follow up procedures, blessing at Mass and hosting regular welcoming brunches.
· Coordinate annual renewal campaign
· Develop and coordinate parish communications to parishioners regarding planned giving;
· Provide ongoing education and formation with the parish at large, to develop an understanding of stewardship as a way of life;
· Prepare reports on all phases of stewardship to pastor, Stewardship Committee, Pastoral and Finance Councils and staff.
Administration
· Attend, plan and facilitate Parish Leadership Team meetings as assigned.
· Attend Common Leadership Night with Stewardship Committee
· Work with Parish Leadership Team to help develop annual budget.
· Communicate to appropriate staff, information needed for parish records, space needs and budget items in areas of responsibility.
· Communicate with cabinet staff, how these areas of responsibility affect other ministries.
· Provide accurate documentation of parish expenditures for areas of responsibility.
· Embrace current and future strategic plans and align it with areas of ministerial responsibility
· Regularly meets with heads of ministries to determine vision, implementation and effectiveness of particular ministries.
Candidate should be a practicing Catholic with knowledge of Catholicism and have the following:
· Master’s Degree preferred; Preference for Religious Studies, Communications, Journalism, Writing or related field;
· Experience in a nonprofit or parish environment preferred;
· Possess strong interpersonal communication abilities including excellent verbal and written skills;
· Ability to organize and oversee multiple ministries and develop, direct and empower volunteers who serve in those ministries;
· Proficient in using Microsoft Office, database management, social media tools and website content management;
· A strong track record as an implementer who thrives on managing a variety of key initiatives concurrently;
· Maturity and leadership with the ability to serve as a unifying force and to position communications discussions at both the strategic and tactical levels;
· Self-starter, sincere commitment to work collaboratively with all constituent groups, able to work independently, deadline oriented, enjoys creating and implementing new initiatives;
· Ability to work hours required by the position
